How Long Will I have To Complete the Challenge?

If you are taking on the 50km trek then you’ll have 17 hours 40 minutes to complete the challenge. If you’re taking part in our 25km trek then you’ll have 8 hours 50 minutes. These times are based on an average walking speed of 3km/h (plus time to rest at checkpoints / food stops), which is highly achievable as long as you put in the correct training beforehand. Remember – this is not a race! Checkpoint timings can be found in the Participant Area of the website.

Will the Route be Marked?

The route will be fully marked with fluorescent arrows along the way. You’ll also be provided with a route guide which contains a map and emergency procedures for you to use as a reference. Our TrekFest event crew will also be supporting you along the way, marshalling the route and sweeping the route after the last walker.

What Will Be Available at The Checkpoints?

Each checkpoint will have an array of tasty snacks (think flapjacks, fruit and other treats!) as well as water and cordial. If you are taking part in our 50km route, then you’ll also be able to enjoy a free hot meal at Checkpoint 2 and a hot drink at Checkpoint 3. You’ll also be greeted by our Event Team at checkpoints – including first aiders.
